Service learning course based on the body of work of Brazilian theater director, writer, activist and legislator Augusto Boal. Examination of Boal's ideology and philosophy of "liberatory" theater and physical and vocal exploration of Boal's "arsenal" of theater techniques. Service learning teams work with community groups of middle and high school students to develop and perform interactive Forum theater. Instructors: Khalsa and Royals
