This course covers the mathematics, physics, and instrumentation of several modern medical imaging modalities starting with a review of applicable linear systems theory and relevant principles of physics. Modalities studied include X-ray photography (film-screen and electronic), computerized tomography, ultrasound and nuclear magnetic resonance imaging. Consent of instructor required.
