Basic and current concepts of the biological membranes, membrane proteins and organization; mechanism of action of hormones at the cellular level including hormone-receptor interactions, secondary messenger systems for hormones, mechanism of regulation of hormone responsiveness, regulation of growth, differentiation and proliferation, cellular electrophysiological mechanisms of transport and ions channels, secretory and sensory stimulus sensing and transduction.
