Prerequisites: POLI 201 or 311. An analysis of political campaigning, nominations, elections, and public opinion. Students will study the impact of elections on our Institutions of government, and learn how to run an effective political campaign. This course is offered in Fall semesters in even-numbered years to correspond with national elections. Special emphasis will be on presidential campaigns during presidential election years and on congressional campaigns during other years.
