Junior Standing must be awarded by the faculty no sooner than the fourth semester jury exam of the major performance Instrument. Junior Standing grants permission to continue study at the 400 level. Junior and Senior transfer students must be awarded Junior Standing at their Audition for Admission to the Music Program. Additional requirements within specific degree program are as follows: Music Education - admitted to School of Education and successfully pass Piano Proficiency. Performance – Permission is granted based on the student’s progress in technique, musicianship, foreign language diction (vocal only) and stage presence. Permission also presumes that the faculty believes the student is making sufficient progress toward preparation of degree program recitals.
