Prerequisites: MUSI 131 and 132 (grades of ā€œCā€ or better), or by permission of instructor. Group instruction in functional guitar for Music Therapy (MT) majors. Level I (151) introduces first position chords and basic accompaniment styles. Students are required to lead and accompany group singing, transpose songs at sight, sight-read melodies and compose songs with simple accompaniment. Students are required to demonstrate advanced group song-leading skills, ease in utilizing the capo in transpositions, and the ability to sight-read tablature and compose songs for therapy populations.
