Provides an introduction to solid dance technique, jazz dance vocabulary, proper dance alignment, and use of the core of the body to stabilize and control movement. Various styles of jazz will be used in combinations throughout the term with a foundation of LA style jazz inspired by the studios of Dupre, Joe Tremaine, Carleton Johnson and Jaime Rogers.
