This course will present an introduction to the theory of group representations. Topics will include the mathematical foundations of abstract group theory, including reducible and irreducible representations. Physical applications of group theory will include crystallographic point groups, group theoretical techniques in quantum mechanics, angular momentum, and vibrational spectroscopy.
