Provides all-level sketching instruction and develops observational skills needed to produce accurate pencil and pen/ink drawings. Includes hands-on training in museum and field-sketching procedures, as well as the use of hand lenses and microscopes. Provides an introduction to computer graphics. Explores and expands career capabilities and options in biology and environmental education. Includes preparation of artwork for actual publication. Two lectures and one 3-hour laboratory. Approved for University Studies (Integration). Prerequisite(s): One year of biological science Corequisite(s): BI 430L
