This course is designed to provide the early childhood teacher with an overview of the purposes and content of early childhood music programs. Topics include the nature of early musical responses, objectives, experience levels of the program, methods of teaching and materials. Observation of and participation in music teaching in early childhood centers are included in coursework. Not open to music majors for credit.
