Prereq.: SPA 101-102 or two years of Spanish in high school and the written permission of the instructor. Intermediate Spanish continues the introduction to Spanish language and the culture of the Hispanic community. The course is designed to equip the student with the linguistic skills necessary for verbal and written communication at the intermediate level of communicative competence. Comprehension skills are enhanced through the reading of selected portions from the world of Hispanic literature. A continued examination of the culture of the Hispanic community and potential areas of ministry in it are an integral part of this course. The course is conducted primarily in Spanish.
