This course will provide a comprehensive overview of the developmental aspects of autism, including cognitive, social, behavioral, and physiological perspectives. This course will also provide professionals with the essential knowledge to work effectively with community service providers. Issues related to diagnosis, etiologies, and characteristics of autism across the lifespan will be presented. Current ?hot topics? in autism will also be discussed, including impact of diet and childhood immunizations.
