EXS 400 - Exercise for Special Populations

This course is designed to introduce students the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) guidelines for exercise prescription in special populations. Topics will include exercise prescription for cardiac patients, pulmonary patients, children, the elderly, and pregnant women. The influence of medications and medical conditions such as obesity and diabetes will also be addressed. Prerequisite: EXS 452, EXS 460.
