This course introduces nonnative speakers of English to academic writing at the collegiate level. Expository and memo writing as well as research writing will be explored. Special attention will also be given to American-style academic writing and plagiarism. A research paper is required. Prerequisite: ESL 105, placement determined by colleges, or a TOEFL score above 450.
