Introduction to the athletic training profession. The focus of this course will be the prevention and immediate care of athletic injuries/illnesses. Topics such as protective equipment, bloodborne pathogens, emergency care, basic anatomy, and taping are covered. Three one-hour classes and one two-hour laboratory. Prerequisite: Upperclass Standing or Freshman with at least an ACT score of 18 or high school GPA of 3.0
