This course is designed to help students further develop their skills used in whitewater kayaking. The curriculum is focused on the mechanics of kayak strokes and the proper techniques required to use these strokes effectively. Topics include: ferrying, eddy turns, route selection, water characteristics, scouting, and rescue procedures. Successful students acquire the skills in this course to comfortably navigate Class III whitewater.
