Course explores methods and content for teaching music and art in the early childhood and elementary classrooms, allowing for exploration of self-expression. Students will examine research on integrating music and art into core subject areas to enhance teaching units and encourage creativity and exploration. Students will create lesson plans using music and art to encourage self-expression, build community, and ignite joy in learning. Attention will be given to state and national standards governing these areas.
