This course prepares future educators to be effective, culturally-conscious instructors in multi-cultural classrooms. Topics covered include culture, prejudice, racism, ethnicity, pluralism, assimilation, gender, and socioeconomics. The relationship between culture and education to designing curriculum that is culturally sensitive and inclusive is also explored. Prerequisite: Admission to Education Program.
