Reviews physiological components of mental health and application of psychopharmacology to mental health issues. Students will be introduced to neurological underpinnings related to mental health, how pharmaceutical intervention impacts the body and body chemistry, and how addictive substances affect the body. Treatment implications for addictions and research-based phychopharmacological interventions will also be discussed.
