Skills for working with additions is a necessity for today's counselors. Understanding the brain's role in creating and maintainng addictions is crucial to working with clients with chemical and/or behavioral addictions. This weeked elective will lay the physical and theoretical foundation for understanding addiction along with many practical exercises utilizing Michael Dye's Genesis Change Process. After this course you will be able to give your clients clinical understanding and practical tools for addressing this rapidly growing problem inside and outside of the church.
