Quantitative Methods in Business is an introduction of selected operations research techniques useful in the analysis of managerial problem situations, the design of new and improved systems, and the implementation of results in order to achieve desired system performance. The course emphasis is the problem recognition, problem formulation, selection of proper techniques, problem solutions, and evaluatin of results. Course topics are as follows: Linear Programming, Short-term and Long-term Forecasting, Decision Theory, Queuing Theory, Analytical Hierarchy Process. PERT/CPM, Economic Order Quantity, Economic Production Lot Size, and Simulation.
