Country studies will be emphasized as will regional topics such as political, economic, and human development, the Arab-Israeli conflict, disputes between Shi¿a and Sunni, political Islam, Islamic militancy i.e., Jihadism, resources(particularly oil, natural gas, and water), foreign (especially American) involvement.
