(4 sem. hrs.) Second course of a two semester sequence required of majors. The Course reviews the diversity of life including systematics, viruses, bacteria, protists, fungi, invertebrate animals, with special emphasis on plant biology. Material from the first course in combined with the second in the study of ecology and environmental issues. Lecture and laboratory components must be taken concurrently. Students with credit for BIO114 will not also receive credit for BIO124. (Spring only) PREREQUISITES: Must take both a lecture and a laboratory section concurrently.
