Description:
(4 sem. hrs.) First course of two semester sequence required of majors. The course reviews the scientific method, introduces features of the unity of life (the cell, cell chemistry, genetics, respiration, and evolution), and discusses some characteristics of animal form. Lecture and laboratory components must be taken concurrently. Students with credit for BIO112 will not also receive credit for BIO123. (Fall only) PREREQUISITES: Must take both a lecture and a laboratory section concurrently.
