The main emphasis in this introductory studio painting course will be on the interplay of color and light in still life painting. In order to translate these visual perceptions onto canvas in two dimensions, the course will focus on the basic principles of color theory, and the rudiments of composition through the study of the structure of painting by organizing line, plane, volume and space.
