Staff. Examines the concepts of occupations, professions, and work organizations. It considers issues about employee selection, job involvement, alienation, satisfaction, performance, and compensation; industrial mental health, occupation safety, health and medicine; social conditions of work in bureaucratic organizations, work groups and union membership; supervision and human resource management; and the changing conditions of work resulting from technological change, social change, shifts in the occupational structure and the interface of work with other institutions such as the family.
