Pre-requisite: NSCI/CELL 3310. Satisfies neuroscience laboratory requirement. In this lab, students are introduced to electrophysiological recording techniques. Acutely prepared hippocampal brain ‘slice’ cultures are used for extracellular recordings as the students work through a series of exercises designed to demonstrate principles of electrophysiology while providing a hands-on introductory experience to this critically important neuroscience technique. (Same as CELL 4310.)
