Staff. This course examines various topics in the history of Greek and Roman religion though readings and discussion of literary and epigraphical sources and examination of archaeological evidence. Topics include Mystery Cults of Greece and Rome; History of Roman Religion; Magic and the Supernatural in the Ancient World; Death and the Afterlife in the Ancient World; Problems in the Iconography of Greek and Roman Religion.
