Prof. Butler. In this course we will look at ancient Greek religious behavior and what it can tell us about Greek society when studied in its historical context. Topics include mythology and the gods, sanctuaries, temples, and offerings, ritual and cult activities, festivals, civic religion, and belief and the individual. (Same as HISA 232).
