Pre-requisite: CPST-230 or equivalent database experience. This course covers design and development concepts for relational database systems. The students will work on the design and development of a database application by analyzing organizational data needs, model and present those needs using diagrams and specifications, exploring different database designs, and implementing the design in a working system. Topic include normalization, entity-relationship modeling, database application design, data base processing using internet technology, managing multi-user data bases, accessing the database server, and sharing enterprise data.
