(Prerequisite, CH560 or CH662.) A comprehensive coverage of the chemistry and biochemistry of nucleic acids. Topics include DNA and RNA structure, DNA replication and fidelity, DNA damage and repair, protein-DNA and drug-DNA interactions, biochemical aspects of modern molecular biology, and other current areas of interest from the literature. Three hours of lecture per week.
