This course provides instruction in the fundamentals of variable speed drives, industrial motors, and other applications of variable speed drives. Topics include fundamentals of variable speed control, AC frequency drives, DC variable speed drives, installation procedures, and ranges. Upon course completion, students will understand the principles of operation of variable speed drive systems, the function of components of each system, and the set-up and installation and troubleshooting techniques for variable speed drives.
