CS 294. Digital Design Techniques Digital design techniques include registers and register transfer language, RTL state design; memory, memory interfacing, and microprogramming; programmable logic devices, different types of PLDs, combinational and sequential circuit design using PLDs; ABEL programming; PLD-based design using ABEL; CMOS family; TTL to CMOS and CMOS to TTL interfacing. Uses CAD tools for circuit simulation. Prerequisite: CS 194. Corequisite: CS 138.
