Description:
Auditory Evoked Potentials Provides information on the anatomic and physiologic basis of auditory-evoked potentials generated from the peripheral and central auditory systems. Discusses techniques for the administration and interpretation of auditory-evoked potentials, including cochlear potentials (ECochG), the auditory brainstem responses (ABR), and the late-occurring evoked potentials (MLR, ALAEP, MMN, and P300). The use of evoked potentials in intraoperative monitoring will also be discussed. Lab component provides opportunities for hands-on learning and independently performing various auditory-evoked potential tests. Prerequisites: CSD 802, 804, and 806.
