Crossing Cultures: Study and Travel in Senegal West Africa Pre: Co: Elect:OP, LA, SOC SCI Introduces the student to the culture of West Africa through three (3) day predeparture/postreturn training and structured field trip to West Africa. Group training which will include analysis of cross cultural issues, team building, debriefing will utilize role play, case study, multimedia approaches. In Africa, students will visit families, interview government officials, participate in selected community service projects. Students will incorporate material from assigned readings/films, daily journal, and lecture notes in a major paper. Fulfills open, liberal arts, social science electives.
