The Pacific Century - Modern Asia Pre: Co: Elect:OP, LA, SOC,SCI, HUM This telecourse explores the social, historical, cultural, and economic issues connected to the emergence of modern Asia, the United States, and the Pacific Basins. Instead of regular classroom meetings, students view TV programs on Channel 2 or 44 and complete textbook and study guide assignments at home. Students on any campus can enroll in this course because there are no classroom meetings. Fulfills open, liberal arts, social science, and humanities electives.
