The Civil War Pre: Co: Elect:OPEN, LA, HISTORY, This course, based upon the landmark PBS documentary series and television course, along with specific readings, captures the extraordinary drama of this enormous national catastrophe, which changed our political, social, and economic structure forever. This remarkable television course allows faculty and students to experience the 5 years of turmoil from actual diaries, letters, newspaper accounts, photos as well as traditional text material. Fulfills open, liberal arts, history, social science, and humanities electives.
