This course deals with chemical transmission in the nervous system and its modification by drugs and disease. Topics include the neural basis and pharmacological treatment of such neurological disorders as depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, schizophrenia and Alzheimer's disease. The neurobiology of abused drugs and cognitive enhancing drugs will also be covered. (Same as NEUR 319)
