Prerequisite: Concurrent registration in or credit for the corresponding lecture course 201 or 202. The laboratory work in this course is designed to allow students to cooperatively discover fundamental concepts of the science while introducing the common laboratory techniques of organic chemistry. The course emphasizes the use of modern and analytical instrumentation including Neuclear Magnetic Resonance, Infrared Spectrophotometry, Gas Chromatography, and Mass Spectroscopy.
