This is a course designed to aid the student in achieving a better understanding of what music entails. Study includes the elements of music, the instruments and ensembles used to produce music, styles of music and contemporary forms. A portion of class time is devoted to ear training in listening to and commenting on recorded and live examples. This course can be used toward fulfillment of degree reqirement in humanities.
