A model for Sustainable Agriculture Pre: Co: The mission of "The Food Project" is to create a thoughtful and productive community of youth and adults from diverse backgrounds who work together to build a sustainable food system. This community produces healthy good for residents of the city and suburbs, provides youth leadership opportunities, and inspires and supports others to create change in their own teenagers to promote personal and social change in their own communities. This workshop by "Jay Harrison, Director of the North Shore Food Project" will be an overview of this model that employs local teenagers to promote personal and social change through sustainable agriculture. Topics covered will include: the fundamentals of sustainable agriculture, working with teenagers on the land, and how to build a better food system here on the North Shore.
