Moving Stories: A performance art project (10-12) Pre: Co: Our stories are part of us. They're part of what makes each of unique and part of what connects us. We will be creating a group performance piece from shared stories about ordinary things, from socks to clouds. Our materials will be our words and movements, and we'll use the methods of improvisation and composition. The final piece we create will be set to music and shown to our friends and family. Instructor Mary Lee Karlins was head of the dance program at Bradford College for 14 years. Most recently, she directs The Story Project, an inter-generational performing group using text and movement to express personal stories.
