Description:
Once Upon a Book (ages 7-9) In this course students will write and publish their own books. Student authors will improve and sharpen their skills, as they learn the processes of pre-writing, draft- ing, revising and editing. Among the types of books they will create are: Foldout, Person, Accordion, Step and Instant books. The authors and illustrators of classic children's books will serve as models and inspiration for our amateur writers. Subject areas such as science, social studies and social skills will be integrated into the writing workshop.
