Julie De-Mystifies Julia Pre: Co: Where would modern cooking be without Julia Child? She brought French cuisine to the States and modernized the recipes for the American kitchen; not to mention her pioneering work on television. Explore the techniques the techniques in her Mastering the Art of French Cooking and de-mystify's many of the recipes. Have you ever made aspic? Deboned a whole duck? Made a fluffy chocolate souffle? Created pate a choux for both desert and savory treats? Try these and other classic French recipes to wow your family and friends. During the first and second weeks, focus on side dishes and techniques. On week three, create and eat a French dinner accompanied by a mini wine tasting of complementary wines. A $50 perishable fee is payable to instructor in class.
