NA/HHA Career Pathways Program Pre: Co: Students whose first language is not English will receive support from an achievement coach while training to become a Certified Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide. Upon successful completion of this program, you will be prepared to pass the state Certified Nurse Assistant exam. You will also receive a Home Health Aide Certificate and an Alzheimer's Care Certificate. The skills taught in our state-licensed certificate program include vital signs, moving and turning patients, personal care basics, bed making, bed bath and feeding, record keeping and responding to emergencies. Additional support will include: basic skills workshops, ESL enhanced NA/HHA curriculum, and career advising. Class will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Some daytime hours may be required or Saturdays, may be required. Weekly meetings with an achievement coach will also be scheduled. Training will take place at Abbott House, in Lynn. Candidates must meet eligibility requirements, call for information (978) 236-1200. Funding for this course is provided by the North Shore Workforce Investment Board through the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act.
