Description:
Appraising the Single Family Residence-REA 1A-A Case Study A uniquely designed course using hands-on techniques of analysis and writing to teach both new and experienced appraisers the most current methods of analyzng market data and writing effective reports. A case study of actual market-extracted data is used to illustrate the appraisal procedures. Participants learn to present their conclusions in a formal detailed narrative report, in a FNMA/FHLMC form and in a proper letter of opinion. Key topics include selecting and analyzing data, writing a neighborhood and property description, three approaches to value, market-based abstraction and analysis, USPAP concerns, and proper reconciliation and presentation of the final value estimate. This course has been approved by the MA Board of Real Estate Appraisers for 36 hours of credit with exam only, and 48 hours with case study; by the NH and RI Board of Registration of Real Estate Appraisers for 42 hours of credit; and for 39 credit hours by the ME board of Regsitration. An additional text is required. Optional $50 cost is extra for A Case Study.
