Pre: Introduction to Architectural Drafting (House Plans) Co: Elect: Building a new home? Adding to an existing home? This course will consist of seven workshop sessions involving the preparation of working drawings. For the project, a residential scale design will be drafted in this workshop and several short duration exercises have been carefully selected to prepare the student for drafting a complete set of working drawings through development of an effective sequence of procedures. Although the course is short in length, the program of learning with hands-on approach to drafting has been carefully planned to present the information in a compressed and efficient format. The following materials need to be purchased for the pair of courses; drafting board (18" x 24"), mechanical lead holders (leads), hand-held lead pointer, white vinyl eraser, 24" wide roll yellow trace paper, drafting tape, plumbing and circle templates, 30-60 (degree) triangle, 45 (degree) triangle, architectural scale, and T-square. The approximate cost of these material is $60. A textbook is required for the class.
