Appraising the Single Family Residence (REA1A) Pre: Co: Elect: This practical course will teach new and experienced appraisers the most current methods of analyzing market data and effective report writing. A case study of actual market-extracted data is used to illustrate the appraisal process. Participants learn how to present their conclusions in a formal detailed narrative report, in a FNMA/FHLMC form and in a proper letter of opinion. Real Estate Appraisal I (REA1) is a prerequisite for REA1A and, along with standards and professional practices, completes the educational requirements of a RA (Residential Appraisal) designation of the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers.
