Evaluation Credit by Portfolio Pre: ALT103 or permission of CAS Instructional Specialist Co: Students may earn college course credit by submitting a formal written portfolio documenting college-level competencies equivalent to the course outcomes of one or more required/elective program of study courses. The student receives approval to prepare the portfolio for academic credit in an initial interview at CAS. The portfolio, completed in accordance with CAS/NSCC standards, is forwarded to a Departmental Faculty Review Committee for recommendation for course credit award. Based on formal approval by the Division Dean and Vice President of Academic Affairs as well as payment of fees, the student is registered for course credit by the Center for Alternative Studies. Performance must be demonstrated at a 'C' level in order for the student to earn a 'Pass' grade for the approved course(s).
