Indian Cooking Pre: Co: Indian food has gained huge popularity in the last several years. Indian food is very diverse and has been influenced over the decades by many conquests including Mongolian, Persian, Greek, Chinese and British. Explore the history of Indian cuisine, various culinary techniques including: Bhunao (curry), Dhuanaar (Smoke- Seasoning), Do-Piaza (cooking with onions), and Dum (steaming). Recipes will include Chicken Tandoori, Mango Shakes, Biryani (rice dishes), chutnies and Raita (yoghurt mix). Explore the various spices, fresh herbs, and grains used in Indian cuisine. A $55 perishables fee is due to the instructor first class.
